1. Tricorn, Portsmouth (2001)
- Having heard about the decision to demolish the whole site. I cycled down one day to make some souvenir shots.
2. Southampton marked tower block (2004-2005)
3. Southampton demolished house façade (2004-2005)
4. Southampton civic centre before the whole street was demolished (2004-2005)
- Photographs 2, 3, 4 came from routine walking tours of the town when I lived there.
5. tidal surge of Selsey caravan park (2008)
- There was a certain satisfaction in seeing these static caravans smashed up and shifted away from their plots by the tidal surge. If anything, it confirmed the vulnerability of the site to the sea and the naivety of the holiday park owners to do anything about it other than shovelling yet more shingle between the caravans and the sea.
6. Royal College of Physicians, Regents Park, London by Denys Lasdun (2009)
- I took this photo because I like the light and dark juxtaposition of the vertical façade with the black brick of the lecture theatre
7. demolition of ABC Cinema, Cosham, Portsmouth (2011)
- The scene of many social and romantic rendezvous during my College years. I used the signage and person walking across the shot to emphasize ‘the public’ is no longer welcome to enter. It has ceased to be a social destination. The destruction of this venue still holds some emotional significance to this day.
